About Jason’s Build
Jason originally approached us with a few questions regarding a 200 series that he already owned, after speaking back and forth Jason decided to book the Landcruiser in. We organised freighting the car over to our workshop and the process begun, once the fit out was complete we return freighted the vehicle back to Victoria so that Jason didn’t have to leave home or have any time off work. This vehicle does get used for some basic touring and light off road work however daily driving is the main duty so this build was kept relatively simple for this purpose.
We started off with a King 3800kg GVM upgrade which offers a decent increase in payload whilst still offering fantastic handling and ride comfort, this was engineered post rego due to the vehicle already being registered. The King remote res 2.5 shocks are 30 stage adjustable which allows fine tuning of the suspension during varying driving conditions to maintain optimal performance. Jason went for the 305 NV Method Race Wheels in a matte black finish which were wrapped in Mickey Thompson ATZ P3 tyres, a great all round option when looking for a combination of on road and off road performance.
On the front end we installed an ARB Summit bar which became home for a Warn winch and a pair of Ultra Vision driving lights to light up the road. For added peace of mind a pair of ARB recovery points were fitted to go with the ARB under vehicle protection system, a great option to limit damage to the under side of the vehicle. Jason opted for a Rhino Pioneer platform rack with backbone mounting system to provide additional storage and a Safari Armax snorkel was fitted to keep the engine breathing clean air.
For the electrical side of things Jason stuck with the same theme of quality by using brands such as GME, Redarc, Revolution and Victron. The UHF went in for communication purposes, the electric brakes and Anderson plug take care of towing duties and the dual battery system we put together handles all of Jason’s 12 volt power needs. This particular battery system included the ARB battery tray and BCDC bracket, a Redarc BCDC charger to charge the 100AH Revolution lithium battery and a Victron battery management system to monitor everything.
Thanks to Jason for choosing us to set up this 200 series, we thoroughly enjoyed working together and we hope the car is enjoyed for many years to come!
