About Ash’s Build
To begin, we removed the factory rear end to installed the Jmacx coil package including a new rear diff housing. Ash opted for a 4” lift, he wanted this for the 4wding he does in his troopy. The combination of coil springs and 4 inch lift provided the flex & articulation Ash was after, it also gave him a 4200kg GVM. To ensure all load rating requirements were met, a set of load rated steel rims were chosen and wrapped with Mickey Thompson MTZ P3 tyres.
For bar work & protection, the ARB large tube Deluxe bar was fitted with the Warn Zeon Platinum winch. Ash chose a pretty serious lighting package which included a pair of Lightforce HTX lights on the bull bar, the 40 inch light bar mounted on the Rhino Rack and six Lightforce ROK40 camp lights. We installed a pair of Clearview towing mirrors with the powerfold function to allow auto fold of the mirrors. Inside we added the Alpine stereo with Hema mapping, the ARB Linx, a set of Black Duck seat covers and also got the windows tinted.
To assist with future tuning and performance upgrades we installed the Safari Armax snorkel, a Torqit exhaust system, the NPC heavy duty clutch & a HPD top mount intercooler. For added engine protection we also fitted a diesel pre filter kit and a Provent 200 catch can. Under the bonnet we fitted a dual battery system and an ARB air compressor with an air outlet routed to the Kaymar rear bar. This rear bar allowed for the twin spares to be mounted on the rear and gave us a mounting location for the reverse camera. Other electrical items included the GME UHF package, an Anderson plug to the towbar and a Redarc electric brake controller.
Thanks to Ash for trusting us with building your new pride and joy, we hope you enjoy your travels!
