79 Series Overlanding Build

Build Completed: October 2025

Check out David’s 2022 79 Series single cab, purpose built and ready to take on serious adventures. The foundation of this build is a Jmacx 4495 Super Chassis, chosen to increase the vehicle’s legal GVM while improving capability both on and off the road.

A front and rear winch setup ensures David can recover himself or help others no matter the situation. Long range touring is covered with a Brown Davis 185L rear fuel tank paired with a 115L front tank, giving this 79 the range to go further between stops.

Inside, the cabin features an Alpine 9” head unit with Alpine R-Series speakers, along with Recaro SR-C seats for added comfort on long drives. On the back, our sister company Jacksons Carry Me Campers completed the build with one of their custom camper setups, turning this Landcruiser into a fully capable touring package.
