Mark and Mariska came in with their new Ford Ranger Wildtrak to have it fitted out for towing, camping and touring. Their biggest requirement was a GVM upgrade to legally carry all of the gear, with the GVM upgrade they also wanted to improve the ride comfort and handling offered by the vehicles suspension. Along with the GVM upgrade we fitted a range of 4wd accessories to improve the vehicles usability and practicality.

Initially Mark & Mariska visited our showroom to discuss their new 4wd and some modifications they had in mind. We worked together to figure out the requirements for the vehicle based on the intended use. We decided on an Old Man Emu 3500kg GVM upgrade for the suspension which provided a decent upgrade in GVM, a ride height increase and improvements to the handling. The package features Old Man Emu’s premium BP-51 shock option, Black Hawk upper control arms and Old Man Emu Leaf springs in the rear. We also fitted a set of Method 310 CON 6 rims in matte black which were wrapped with Mickey Thompson ATZ P3 tyres.
Mark & Mariska went for the ARB Summit bullbar colour coded in Aluminium Silver to match the car and give it a nice clean look. With the bar we fitted a Carbon 9,500lb winch with synthetic rope and a pair of Stedi Type-X driving lights, an ARB recovery point and the ARB under vehicle protection system. The ARB frontier long range was installed for added fuel capacity, the Safari Armax snorkel to provide the engine with clean air and for communications we fitted the GME UHF & aerial package. On the rear we installed the ARB Summit RAW bar which offers a nice and aggressive look and provides plenty of rear end protection.
To turn the Ranger into a practical touring vehicle we needed to look at ways to increase the useable storage space. This was achieved by fitting ARB’s Ascent canopy with central locking on the back, providing plenty of weather resistant useable storage. Inside the canopy Mark and Mariska have installed a full drawer system and 12 volt battery setup.
